Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SiC Audio, Visuals & Tools ("SiC," "we," "us," "our") — a trade name used by Juan David Gómez Sicard, an individual creator based in Colombia — collects, uses, and protects information in connection with davidsicardrock.com (the "Service").

"SiC" does not constitute a separate legal entity. All references to "we," "us," or "our" refer exclusively to Juan David Gómez Sicard as a natural person.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Cookie Policy.

1. Local File Processing

Most of our browser-based tools process files entirely on your own device. Unless a specific tool states otherwise:

- files remain on your device and are processed within your browser;

- nothing is uploaded to, stored on, or viewable from our servers;

- we retain no copies and cannot recover, inspect, or disclose them.

This means audio files, images, SVGs, exports, and other project files created locally are never collected by us.

2. Information We Do Collect

We may collect limited personal data in the following cases:

A) Technical information collected automatically by Wix and other infrastructure providers to run and secure the site: IP address, browser/device type, operating system, approximate region, pages visited, timestamps, and diagnostic/security logs.

B) If you contact us (e.g., via email or contact forms), we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Message content

This information is:

  • Voluntarily provided by you

  • Used solely to respond to your inquiry

  • Not used for marketing unless explicitly authorized

Consent

By submitting a contact form on the Service, you:

  • Provide your prior, express, and informed consent for the processing of your personal data

  • Authorize us to use your information exclusively to respond to your request

  • Acknowledge that your data will not be used for unrelated purposes

C) Memberships and Payments

paid memberships run through Patreon, which operates independently under its own privacy policies. We don't store full payment card data ourselves.

3. How We Use Information

Only for legitimate operational purposes: operating and securing the Service, responding to inquiries, processing purchases, diagnosing technical issues, detecting fraud or abuse, and complying with legal obligations. We never use locally processed files for advertising, profiling, AI/ML training, or resale.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share limited data only with trusted service providers (hosting, payments), when legally required, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a restructuring of this practice.

5. Cookies & Third-Party Hosting

The Service is hosted on Wix.com, which — along with any integrated third-party providers (analytics) — may process technical information and place cookies under its own policies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Data Retention & Security

Personal information we do receive (e.g., a contact email) is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. The security of locally processed files also depends on your own device and browser environment.

7. Legal Basis & International Transfers

We primarily process personal information under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 on data protection. Where other privacy laws apply based on your location, we rely on consent, legal compliance, or legitimate interest, as applicable. Technical information may be processed in countries other than your own via our infrastructure providers, with appropriate safeguards where required by law.

For visitors located in the United Kingdom, we also process personal information in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

For visitors located in the European Union, we also process personal information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. If you're in Colombia, these are your *habeas data* rights under Law 1581/2012, exercisable before the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio where applicable.

If you're in the United Kingdom, you have the rights described above under the UK GDPR, and may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled.

If you're in the European Union, you have the rights described above under the EU GDPR, and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (or the authority of the EU member state where you reside).

Because most tools process files locally, we generally hold no copies of them and cannot access, modify, or delete data we never received. To exercise rights over information we *do* hold, contact us below.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; ordinary use of the Service (local tools, no account required) generally involves no personal data collection at all. If we learn a child's data was collected in violation of applicable law, we'll delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; changes take effect upon publication with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acknowledgement of the update.
